Congratulations to our energetic duo and local environmentalists from FullCycle - Mary and Helen who reached the summit of Kilimanjaro on 1 January 2010 at 7:55am.
Mary and Helen spent many hours in 2009 training on the local peaks in preparation for the summit attempt of Kilimanjaro - and the good news is that the efforts paid off and they made it!!! Mary says they arrived at Gillmans Point at 6:30am on 1 Jan 2010 as the Full Moon was setting over Kenya and the new moon was rising over Tanzania. "It was supremely beautiful and emotional" says Mary.
We look forward to a full trip report! We are so proud of you for getting Noordhoek to the top! You both look so fresh. Well done.
