The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Final Draw, which will determine where and against whom the 32 qualified teams will be playing in next year’s 2010 FIFA World Cup™ soccer tournament, takes place on December 4, 2009 from 19h00 to 20h30 in front of some 3 000 international guests at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). It will be broadcast live to an estimated audience of 150-million viewers in 200 countries.
According to the City of Cape Town, FIFA executives, celebrities, members of the international media and representatives of each of the 32 qualifying teams will attend the event, which will also feature performances by the Soweto Gospel Choir and Johnny Clegg.

Fans will gather in Long Street to watch the Final Draw before celebrating on the legendary party street. The entire Upper Long Street will be converted into a festival zone on Friday 4 December. Festivities start at 12h00 noon but the real action is expected to pick up from 16h00 when fans will learn the diski dance to CODA’s song “Blow your Vuvuzela”

Alternatives:
If the thought of crowds, traffic and parking issues is a little overwhelming, then why not consider a visit to Noordhoek, where you will be part of the excitement and not the congestion?
Get down to the Toad in the Village, where all the action will be on the big screen. You can check out the new beergarden downstairs – looks like Friday will be the un-official bar wetting to celebrate the 2010 World Cup Soccer action, as Crimson will be putting on a big show as well!
Noordhoek Farm Village is excited to welcome the world to Cape Town and South Africa next year. Fans are welcome to contact De Noordhoek Hotel in the village for accommodation rates and a superb place to base yourself during the Soccer Spectacular which begins in 6 months time (June 2010).
So blow that vuvuzela (for the uninitiated, the vuvuzela is a plastic horn usually blown by football fans at matches!) and let’s celebrate the beautiful game as Noordhoek embraces the countdown to World Cup 2010.
