Lynne-Marie left for the United States on the 25^th April 2009, since then we have had no new paintings of her’s. I have now received six new works of Art from her in a different exciting style reflecting her new experiences in America.

These paintings are local South African scenes of children experiencing life and enjoying themselves. Boats in Simon’s Town and Kalkbay.

A Family of Artists

The Eatwell Gallery has an extensive collection of art work by the artists of the Eatwell Family. The artist, Mags Eatwell, Eric Oswald Eatwell and Lynne-Marie Eatwell, are amongst South Africa's top up-and-coming artists. The gallery also serves as a studio and offers a unique opportunity to meet and see the artists at work. The Gallery was established by the artists in June 2001 and has been the start of a dream to share in the splendor and joy that goes into the creative process with members of the public, who would otherwise never have the opportunity to view such an event.

The Gallery is situated in the Cellars in the Noordhoek Farm Village, in the beautiful tranquil village of Noordhoek.

Lynne-Marie Eatwell is well known for her portrail of local fishing and harbour scenes, she also paints landscapes of the surounding area but mostly specializes in painting people and especialy children.

Children on the beach

The artists are often approched to do commisions of children playing on the beach, the parents would bring their children to the artists, who would then do a photo shoot with them on the local beaches or in the harbours. They would then commence work on a series of paintings for the parents to choose from. What a wonderful thing to have a painting of your own children, rather than that of a stranger.

Self Portrait

This is a self portrait of the young artist, Lynne-Marie Eatwell. Painted in 2007 it stands as a promising start to a passion in portraiture. The painting is a life size representation of the artist at 1000mm X 800mm and is currently on display at the Eatwell Gallery.
